Really want to visit Lavender Region!
hi there,
i've been reading the posts and really want to visit the Lavender Region.
Am leaving for Paris in 3 days and because we were recommended to visit Aix (1 night), en route to Nice, have booked tickets from CDG to Aix. BUT, to my horror, just found out that its really far away from the Lavender Region!
I really want to visit the lavender and sunflower fields, so am now desperately planning to rent a car and drive between the Luberon and Mount Lure region.
Any ideas how else to make the best of this "mistake"? Any advice much appreciated!!

Before you do anything drastic, check on whether it has reached its peak and has already been harvested in the area. It might be the case; we watched the process in one location a couple of weeks ago.

The main lavender growing regions (Plateau d'Albion and Plateau de Valensole) are just reaching their peak now. I'd expect some harvesting to get started this week and the process to last another 2-3 weeks or so, so plenty of time to get in some viewing...
