Put yourself in the mood for your Italy trip
This morning I did this just by chance and thought someone else here might like a little bit of Italy to brighten their day.
Go to http://www.ilnido.it/nidocam.htm
Then go to http://www.tramontano.com/
At the bottom you will see the Century Celebration click on this and listen to the song Torna Surriento as you enjoy the pictures of a Sorrento of the past and the history of the song. Then click back button to to the Il Nido webcam. As the music is playing, you can enjoy the view of Vesuvious and the Bay of Naples. It is cloudy today so try it again on a sunny day.

Okay, Marianna - Since I'm planning an Italy trip this fall, I am compelled look at this site but you must know - I burst into tears everytime I hear Return to Sorrento - it's as if I lived there in another life. I'm hoping to get the lyrics in Italian at this site. Thanks and pass the handkerchief.

Shanna, did you listen to it yet? The old pictures are great and when I clicked back to the Il Nido webcam I just thought it was perfect!
The song does the same to me also. When I was little and the family would all gather together every Sunday, we would all sit under the grapevine and our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins woul all start singing this song. Before it was over, they would all be in tears missing their beloved town near Napoli. I cannot hear this song without crying my eyes out!
There is a website for the lyrics. If I find it I will post it here for you.
