Parisians most fashionable?

What city and what people do you consider are the most fashionable between NY, Paris and Italy?

Yes really is Italy a city, LOL

I choose Milan then Paris. Milan only getting the nod as the men there are the pull aheads ( yes the young metro sexuals not the oldies) LOL

Sorry , New York doesn't rate as it follows not leads when it comes down to Paris and Milan.

This is only my opinion of course.

Can I vote for Antwerp? I think it is a uniquely stylish place...believe it or not; there are many indigenous designers, some famous, some more-underground, and a dedicated fashion museum. There must be a trickle down effect.

Paris is not fashionable because it is full of tourists with baseball caps.

I actually rarely see a Parisien who seems "fashionable". Most seem to be working stiffs who dress the best they can for their income, but often wear odd or older shoes that don't match their outfits, and usually no makeup. Now, these folks I see riding buses and subways... maybe if I saw them going out for the evening, a party, or dinner they might look more "fashionable". Somtimes a shop clerk will be dressed nicely. Once we sat outside a building on the Champs, and these young, tall, skinny girls kept going inside, then we realized it must have been a modeling agency. They were very plain, however, other than that striking build.

I saw a lot of young men in Paris wearing very pointy shoes. It reminded me of something one might see in "West Side Story." Is that fashionable? I have no idea, but they didn't look comfortable.

I agree with what Travelnut says. On the other hand, I find the Italians on the whole to be very fashionable.

I miss the days....80s mostly....when folks dressed in Paris. Things have changed a lot now. It was great back then. I noticed changes in the 90s. I think the Italians are the best dressed. Happy Travels!
