Keep 'em coming!. Living vicariously. Looks like you're starting out right and so glad you're posting. Sorry about your rocky trip in. Been there, done that.

Hi, yes I did get into town in time to make it to Vilolon for lunch..otherwise would have gone to Cafe. Catherine was there having lunch with friends..came over and chatted with me. Christian came by later, too.

I was glad that I did make it..Violon d'Ingres is such a fine place. They have some lunch special menus now...A good buy for all that Violon has to offer.

a bientot...

Looks nice - but I prefer bay scallops. Don;t know if they have them in europe - asked once in a seafood restaurant (Sheeky's?) for pre-theater dinner and they didn't seem to know them from sea scallops,

Joan ,it looks perfect! i've emailed Violon twice now for a Christmas Eve reservation and haven't heard from from them yet....getting a little nervous! I've had the pleasure of dining there there past two xmas eves..and enjoyed it immensely . Always try to have a late lunch there the day before coming home too...lovely last meal!

Enjoy the rest of your holiday

Hi Joan, rather than destroy my dining for today, you've inspired me to try a little harder. It's mid morning here so I have time to put some thought into tonight's meal. Your meal looks delicious and it's so nice to see a table set properly. Here there is a huge trend for no cloths, and I miss them.
