Open air museum

I read, on some site somewhere, about an open air museum about 20minutes west of Innsbruck that is interesting, but now can't find any further info. Anyone know what it is called and exactly where it is? The thread I read said it was very interesting. Thanks.

I feel like I have heard about this too, but can't find anything right now. I wonder if it is in the Baedeker's book, as I had one recently from the library.

The German word for open air museum is Freilicht museum - - a search on yahoo.de yields about 23 different listings - - many more than the analogous category on yahoo.com (in English). I don't see anything in Innsbruck or in Tirol, though there is one near Salzburg, and it has an English option.

Best wishes,

Rex

Dear Rex,
Thank you for the info. In looking at my notes, the open air museum is 20 min west of Salzburg, not Innsbruck. I am new to using the computer-just started in March while plannig our trip. I don't know how to access the Yahoo de. site you mentioned. Would you be so kind as to tell me anything you found about the museum, where it is or what it is called? We have been to a couple in Germany but will not be close to them this time, and we find them fun to see.
Thank you for your help.
Linda

Linda,

Using yahoo.de is no big deal, though everything is in German- - you just type www.yahoo.de or click Germany on www.yahoo.com - - but anyhow, the museum I found near Salzburg is www.freilichtmuseum.com, and there is a an English ("click here") icon.

Best wishes,

Rex
www.allexperts.com

Dear Rex,
Wow, what a quick response! I looked up the site you mentioned and found what I wanted. We will definitely go there. It looks similar to Ballenberg Museum in Switzerland. It is fun to mix this kind of museum in with cathedrals and castles and arttype museums. I really appreciate the information. Reading another post, I discovered another site Timeout, for information about cities. I have much to learn about using the computer as I frequently get message as Connection Timed out or this site not available type messages, when I have someone else try them, they work. But, anyway, thank you for the help.
Gratefully,
Linda
