This sounds like a rehash of a popular urban legend. Without additional documentation (names, pictures, dates, etc.) it is best to take it with a very large grain of salt.
While alcohol has been used to preserve cadavers under very unusual conditions historically, it is not nearly as common as the urban legend is.
