I am currently on a vacation in Barcelona with family, including my one yr old.
Since arriving we've learned that there will be a city wide ... Maybe country wide... Strike on nov 14.
What should we do? Where can we get up to date information about the strike?

Public transportation at 20% capacity, hospitals as on holidays and probably huge demonstrations across the country. If re-elected in ten days, the Catalan (where Barcelona is the capital) president Arturo Mas will call for a refrendum on independence from Spain, so you might be experiencing crucial events in modern Spanish history. http://elpais.com/elpais/2012/11/13/inenglish/1352832813_479508.html
actually it's a europe-wide strike today!
make that "southern" europe-wide.
make that "southern" europe-wide.
Nothing in berlin
We are in San Sebastian and trailed a protest parade this evening. No violence observed. Their protest seems very reasonable to us and I hope the EU is listening.
Thanks everyone... We ended up going for walk this afternoon to parc guell, but an hour after we got a, our street shut down and a massive protest moved by. There are helicopters hovering... It's a little intimidating but I think we are safe inside and this will all pass.
