Have to fly on July 4th, and need non-stop from Boston. For the past month or so the best rate has been $1,300+ so I haven't jumped on it, but since I've never flown to Paris in the summer - let alone over the 4th - I'm wondering if this is as good as it gets?

We always go to Europe in the spring, purchasing our tickets in January, February... not this year!! We waited and waited in the hopes they would go down... but they haven't. We ended up using FF miles to get our flights (had to purchase a few thousand but since US Airways was doing a 100% bonus on mileage purchases, we made out okay). If prices for spring travel are any indication, then it seems prices may not come down. Go to your preferred airline's website and check out the seating availability. If there are a lot of open seats on the flights you're interested in, I'd wait it out a bit longer.
