Need nice Parisian cafe, bistro, or restaurant open on Sundays

Will be in Paris briefly in a few weeks, and the last evening we're there is an anniversary - not a big imposing one (doesn't end in 5 or 0) but an anniversary nonetheless. We hoped for a nice place for an early dinner (has to be an early night to get up early for morning flight). It turns out, however, many restaurants are closed on Sunday evenings.

Staying on rue Ste Honore, in the Les Halles, Louvre, Chatelet area, just for orientation. Not looking for Michelin stars but would like a congenial, pleasant place with good food (obviously). Would be nice to stay under E 130-140 for both of us, although might go higher for a special place (only one of us drinks wine).

Have checked the Fodor's choices, etc. in our likely price range and not too far from the hotel, and it seemed that the few open on Sunday were booked a while ago. Sigh.

Anyone have a suggestion? Perhaps there's a hotel dining room that would neither break our bank nor disappoint? A nice bistro across the river?

(At least all the Eiffel Tower restaurants were booked, sparing us from giving in to that expensive but cliche'd temptation.)

In the 1st you'll find Café Marly, 93 rue de Rivoli. It's open daily from 8:00 am to 2:00 am. Claus, 14 rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau is open on Sunday until 5:00. Late lunch? Les Fines Gueules, 43 rue Croix des Petits-Champs is open daily.

If you want to cross over to the other side, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Saint-Germain, 5 rue Montalembert in the 7th is open for dinner on Sundays from 6:30 pm to midnight. And Les Cocottes de Christian Constant, 135 rue Saint Dominique, is open daily, as is Les Fables de la Fontaine, 131 rue Saint-Dominique. And one of my favoirtes, La Fontaine de Mars, 129 rue Saint-Dominique, is open for lunch and dinner daily. Reservations highly recommended.

I often stay in Montparnasse, and all the cafes there are open on Sunday, as I recall. Some restaurants, no, but all cafes are.

I do like the Grand Cafe on bd des Capucines on the right bank and they are open every day https://weatherspark.com/averages/32...ndalucia-Spain

I don't know if it's as upscale as you are looking for, though.

We really like Fish La Boissanerie in the 6th. It is not large so best to make a reservation will in advance.

We enjoy La Rotisserie, 19 Quai de la Tournelle, on the Seine, opposite Notre Dame.

Our regular restaurant for Sunday dinned is Le Fontaine de Mars on Rue St. Dominique near the Eiffel Tower. Our back up choice would be Balzar on the Left Bank near the Latin Quarter.

Maitre Albert would suit my idea of an anniversary dinner. I take in to account that it's not a "big" anniversary, but it's a nice place with a dressy modern look. Comfortable but not casual.

When I was there they had a memorable chocolate dessert that was like a slice of chocolate ganache.

Easy to get to from your base.

Stu, Julien looks so pretty. That would also suit my idea of an anniversary dinner.

I've eaten at Fish twice and don't find it comfortable. The food would need to be outstanding for me to ever sit in their chairs again. But they are open on Sunday. I'm the only Fodorite I know that doesn't like the place, so take that for what you find it to be worth.

I like dessert on anniversaries, and Fontaine de Mars has some very nice desserts. Not a really pretty room, but good food.

Sticking with dessert: I once had the best Paris Brest ever at Allard, open on Sunday.

Le Train Bleu? One of the most impressive settings in Europe with excellent service and food. Menus may fit within budget.

Dinner begins at 7:30 PM in Paris, unless you find a place that has continuous service. Brasseries serve meals all day long, so you should look for one of those.
Le Train Bleu's menu is outrageous - we saw it the other day. Wouldn't recommend either the food choices or the prices.
You won't be too far from Bofinger, near Bastille. Easy to get to, nice interior, food good value. Julien is nice as are any of the Constant restaurants mentioned.

Terminus Nord Brasserie was a favorite of ours. Immediately across from Gare du Nord. Though not in your immediate area it is easy to get to.
Happy anniversary to you two.
