MyParisVisit.com - Anyone rented from this Paris Company?

Hello..it's me again. I was wondering if anyone has rented from MyParisVisit.com. We are thinking about going with this company but I can't really find much about them.

Thanks for your help!

That's only been mentioned a few times on here that I can recall. That isn't a typical agency, it's just a website with individual owners, are you aware of that. So if someone rented from one, it would be irrelevant to another on the website. It's just a group of owners who got together to advertise and they have hired a common mgt. service for arrival/departure, so that seems good. They seem organized.

I too would love to know more about this agency. The apartments are all beautiful, well priced, and great locations. I inquired about one and was sent an email requesting a wire transfer. I googled the agency address (looked at street view) and the numbers on the buildings don't have that address, in other words its like it doesn't exist!
Also all of the inquiries I find on this and other forums show the same result as your inquiry - know one actually says they have used them and all of the inquiry started in January of 2009.

Hmmm.... Is this a scam?

Well we have booked with them for Sept 2009 and had no problem. Their terms and conditions are the same as others I've seen when renting and they were fine to deal with. I will let you know!

Just because you cant see the number doesnt mean it doesnt exist, it could be a door that goes upstairs etc...

Also, it seems like a very professional website with extensive pictures etc. And I have tracked our apartment to see how booked it is and it has been getting booked up. If it was a scam you would think you would find some complaints online somewhere...

I would rent from rentals-paris.com. They are a small company that owns a small group of excellent Paris apartments. We rented an apartment in the Palais Royale/Opera district, and it made our trip.

I just wanted to follow up on this thread as there isnt much info available about My Paris Visit.

We rented Roussou Loft in the 1st last week and had no problem. They were very quick to respond, you always deal with the management company and they all speak english.

They were on time to meet us at the apartment, went through all the appliances with us, made arrangements for check out and we were on our way within 20 mins. No problems on check out as well.

I would recommend them as everything went very smoothly!

Now...back to work...sigh

topping for jamikins:

I have had a very difficult time in finding any person who'd rented from this site. I actually looking at the Rousseau loft myself, but it apparently took a one year lease immediately after you left. I have some general questions about this group and you seem to be the only renter. You can contact me at [email protected]. thanks.

Since the loft is not available, I'm looking at two smaller apartments in the same building. My problem is that the pictures on the site look very similar. I'm looking at http://www.myparisvisit.com/rental-s...-paris-22.html and units 21 and 20. I'll need two of the units for a total of 6 people. As you can see from the photos, all of the apartments are identical, just on different floors. My question to you is this:

Did the photo's you saw on the internet accurately describe what you actually saw?

Also, one these apartments, they say paypal is accepted. Did you have any trouble with that method, or was a wire required? (I saw a post on trip advisor that said that is why someone else backed out)

I sent a reply to your email, but will post it here to for future reference:

Happy to help!

As for the photos, we found them to be accurate. There was a bit of wear and tear, but that was expected. There werent any surprises and the pictures were very true to what the apartment looked like.

I was also a bit concerned about transferring money, but we had no problem at all. If it says you can use paypal I dont see why you wouldnt be able to if you are more comfortable with it.

There is a little grocery shop right around the corner that had everything we needed (dairy, cleaning stuff, wine...).

We really loved the location, so close to centre and the Metro Line 1 gets you where you need to go. There are lots of bank machines and cafes in the area as well.

We found them very easy to deal with, met us on time, gave us the tour...no problems at all.

Thanks. I really was upset that the Rousseau loft was taken, but a combination of the other two will work very well. The Paypal direction on the site seems to be fairly new, based upon some of the Tripadvisor comments from early last year. If you were satisfied with the wire transfer, then I'll be completely happy with the Paypal route.

Just thought I'd add an update to this in case anyone is looking to rent through this site/group.

We've rented apartments through them three times now, over four years, and haven't been disappointed at all. They've always been prompt to respond to our inquiries before renting, and if we needed anything while in the apartment. (light bulbs and such)

Our last rental was an apartment on St. Honore.(#118/ St. Honore B) It was very small but very clean and modern. The block lost power on our second day there, and the staff at MyParisVisit insured that we had battery powered lanterns and a key to bypass the elec. security keypad at the door. They also told us not to worry, that if the power was not on in a day or so, they would find us another place. No need as the power was restored that day.

The staff are very helpful and friendly with great English(essential for my nearly non-existant French vocabulary).

If you are planning to rent in Paris, we can whole-heartedly recommend these folks.
