motel near Frankfurt airport

There's a possibility that it might make more sense for me to spend the last night of my trip to visit my DDIL at Ramstein AFB near the Frankfurt airport. Any recommendations of a cheap (but clean, of course--who ever wants dirty?) motel near the airport? Thanks.

We have stayed at the InterCity Hotel at the Frankfurt Airport two different times. However, our last visit through Frankfurt we stayed at the Manhattan Hotel across from the Frankfurt Train Station. I much prefer the Manhattan. It only takes 15 min to get to the airport. The breakfast is awesome and you are not so isolated.

I would do priceline bidding ( learn at www.betterbidding.com) or purchase www.hotwire.com.

Thanks, Betty, I'll look into those hotels. I'd like it to be as easy to get to the AP as possible. A full breakfast isn't appealing, as I am very limited as to what I can eat.

lincasanova, as I'm not sure whether I'll spend my last night with my DS & DDIL or at the AP, a reservation I can't cancel won't work for me.

Hi abram, here are two suggestions, one is the Ibis in Kelsterbach, about 12 km from the airport, it also has a free shuttle to/from the airport, sometimes you can get a very reasonable rate by booking online
http://www.ibishotel.com/gb/home/index.shtml

my other suggestion is to go to
www.booking.com

many of their hotels do have the possibility to cancel but look closely at the specifics.

Hope this helps,
Susan

Thank you, Susan. The shuttle from Ramstein will cost me 40E (plus tip), so $72 for a hotel isn't much more.
