Madrid/Lisbon
My oldest daughter is spending a year working in Madrid. My wife and 18 year old daughter are visiting in late March/Early April for 12 nights.
My daughter sent me this outline (which I filled out to 17 pages ha with restaurant addresses and mostly Museum type information--shortcuts to seeing art etc)
I used to post here a bunch but it has been years! (2 daughters going thru college stopped a lotta travel)
Anyways any good tips folks have PLEASE POST and I will check the board.

No need to fly Madrid-Lisbon - cheaper and much more fun to take the Trenhotel Lusitania sleeper train, saves a hotel bill and gets you to the centre of Lisbon, http://www.seat61.com/international-...Spain-Portugal

>Sunday, March 26 - Bullfight for Dad< The bullfights on the 26th at Las Ventas will be a Corrida de novillos (Leo Valadez, Pablo Aguado & Diego Carretero) with bulls from the Fuente Ymbro ranch. The bullfights are at 6:00 pm, not noon.

What is your source of your food advice, especially the superlatives?
Also I am not sure all the trains to Toledo are 10 Euros unless purchased in advance. Get to Atocha early, they have a system for the AVE to Toledo with a security and x-rays.

yea re bullfights--the three females have no desire to do (I think they are just trying to toss me early at the market!) But thanks I will google the food street and the bull news
I actually have fleshed out that SHORT outline my daughter gave with LOTS details esp re Lisbon and what not. Those words in that are hers--just thought I'd get tips here...yea I think I shall buy the Toledo tickets early. Should I have her do now or buy early when we get to Madrid? Prolly either help...
