Lunch stop between Venice and CT?

On our Sept 08 trip to Italy we will be driving from Venice to Sestre Levante. What is a good stopping point for lunch? I was thinking Modena, Parma or something along those lines. What towns are easy to get in/out of and great for lunch?

I suggest Mantova - a fascinating Medieval town. It's about halfway - 3 hours from Venice and 3 from Sestre Levante.

...and has one of Italy's best local cuisines. My top choice there is Osteria Vecchia Mantova, very close to the Duomo and the main entrance to Palazzo Ducale: unforgettable meals!

Mantova looks incredible and I would have never thought to stop there. That might be it! Thanks so much.
