What you want to do is difficult (actually impossible) and you need to allow travel time.
Day 1, arrive London - see game. Be prepare to be tired from your long flights.
Day 2, Train to Paris, 1/2 day of sightseeing
Day 3, Paris
Day 4, travel to Switzerland. Other posters know best for that.
Day 5, Switzerland
Day 6, Switzerland
Day 7, train to Venice, very long travel day
Day 8, Venice
Day 9, travel to Rome, late afternoon and evening
Day 10 depart for home.

You can see, you do not have time for Rome.
You have to cut.
You could skip Paris and fly from London to Switzerland.
You could skip Venice and fly to Rome.
Are your tickets already purchased?
If so, give us exact dats and times.
If not, reconsider your whole trip and pick the three places most important to you.
What is the number one thing you want to see or do?
Can you add any time at all to your trip? Even two or three days would help.

Well my only comment on your plans is simply this if you are coming to London to watch ManU at Old Trafford good luck you will need powerful binoculars, you're in the wrong city. I know you say you fly onto Manchester, good luck as well getting tickets for the game;

By the way you are going to Switzerland, the people and products of that country are Swiss. I would look at Zematt Tourism website ad see if there hostels there and book direct.

OK - I;m confused.

First you say you are going to London and then you say you are going to Manchester - which is it? If you are going to land in London and then get to Manchester - what time do you land? What time is this game in Manchester? Have you figured out how to get between the two?

And when/how will you get back to London to get the train to Paris? If you have to travel to London, then to Paris I don;t see how you will have time for any sightseeing that day?

I fear that you have not allowed any time to get from one place to another. You need to check the train times (bahn.de has times for trains all over europe - although you can;t buy tickets there but have to go to the appropriate train company for that country).

Also Air BnB is not hostels. It is either a room in someone's apartment or an entire apartment. And not all of these places are willing to rent for just 1 or 2 nights. You might be better off with real hostels - but need to know your lodging budget. You may end up with a bed in a dorm room of 8 or 10 people.

Agree that what you are trying to do is really just not possible as you have listed it.

Suggest you decide what two (2) places you want to go to - and then see how it works with the very few days that you have.

IMHO you could do
Italy or
Paris/Switz or
UK/Paris

You just do not have the time to do all of these places.

mmm - anyone looked at the OP's profile?

I think that someone may be having a 'laff.

my apologies if I've got this wrong, magaramvnesh05, in which case, I suggest that you look at a map of Europe [you can even find them on line, I believe] and look at you proposed destinations, and see how far apart they are.

9 days is not very long - probably just long enough to see a bit of 3 cities, or have a better look at 2 of them.

Given your interest in football, Manchester, London and Paris would make a great trip.

trying to see london, Manchester, Paris, Switzerland and Italy in 9 days is like trying to see Mumbai, Dehli, Calcutta and Chenai in one trip - it just can't be done.

This plan is not really feasible. Your very first problem . . . How do you plan on getting a ticket to the match?

If you are taking trains from Manchester to Paris, unless you take a very early train, you won't have half a day left for sightseeing. so really one full day in Paris. Two days in Switzerland, 1 day in Venice, a few hours in Rome.

So -- spending a fortune to see almost nothing.

annhig: I think the OP/post are legit. Isn't the first similar itinerary (usually w/o the football) we've seen.
