London - Apartment Rental companies

I thought I could find what I was looking for on other posts but I am not having much luck.

Can you please recommend some reputable apartment rental companies in London?

We are looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom modern apartment that sleeps 3 (2 adults, 1 tween) reasonably close to a tube station in a safe neighborhood with shopping and restaurants nearby. Thanks!

We are using London Perfect in about two weeks. I made my choice based on the sterling reviews that Paris Perfect gets here on Fodors. I will post in mid February to say how it was.

What sort of budget?

London Perfect is fine -- but they tend towards the posh/high end of the market.

Thanks everybody. oh2doula - how could I have missed that thread???

Budget is probably no more than 200pounds per night - although I must admit that I am in sticker shock!

We are considering a 2 bedroom apartment in Greenwich near the O2 and the North Greenwich station (Jubilee line). We are very comfortable using the tube and will probably take the train from Stratford up to Chelmsford (where we used to live) one day. But I am concerned that there is nothing much nearby - like pubs and restaurants, aside from what is in the O2. Thoughts?

We've used Paris Vacation Apartments....they have a few London properties. We were a couple of blocks from the Gloucester St tube stop in a lovely neighborhood with good restaurants. The apartment had a terrace overlooking a community garden which was lovely. They have a link to their London site on the Paris site.

iowamom: I don't know your dates but these flats are next to the Tower in St Katharine's Marina and are much less than £200 a night even in high season. I'd much rather stay there than out at O2. There is a large Waitrose in the complex, and lots of places to eat literally on the door step-but very quiet since there is no vehicular traffic (except for deliveries)

You could easily beat 200 quid per night ($320) and the O2 location. That's a real haul into the center of town and there's no reason for it.

Check out A Place Like Home and One Fine Stay.

Look at www.slowtrav.com at the apartments reviewed as well as the feedback on the rental agencies.

Sorry...clicked on the link above for the Artillery Row flat, and then forgot that this was a separate post...the company and flats I was viewing are at www.connectionsmg.com

I have also used farnum and Christ twice with much success, but next trip requires a three bed flat that has lift access as MIL with walker will be joining us...tube location not as critical as she will taxi most places...

We stayed in a great apartment in Clerkenwell in December booked through The London Agent - we found them great to deal with:

kmowatt

We stayed in Parliament View last summer, we LOVED the apartment. It was a lovely apartment, the master bedroom is large, the other two smaller, but workable.

Having two full bathrooms was great too.

There were tube stops about 10-12 min away, but we used the busses all the time as they stopped right outside the building.

We spent a lot of time in the morning and evening just staring out at that view, you will never forget Parliament and Big Ben all lit up at night.

Company was easy to deal with, all went smoothly, I would rent from them again.
