Lenno at Lake Como, ever been there and how long does it take to

Flying home from Mapensa airport in July. Want to spend last night in lake como area, but need to get to the airport to drop off car and catch 11:00am flight. Is Lenno too far or should we stay somewhere like L'Erba or Cantu? Help is greatly appreciated

Anne, did you ever get a reply back via email? I had pretty much the same question - my plane leaves at noon. I was told that Como itself is not far from MXP, but haven't looked too hard at this as yet - looks like we are going to make our decision while over there - we leave tomorrow!

Ann, You are better off at the south end
of Lago Maggiore or at Lago Orta to drive to Malpensa. From anywhere on Como you have to drive thru population.
The others will allow you to get there
in from :45 to an hour.
Bill: Hope you have a wonderful trip. Let me know how Lake Como was.

Bob the Navigator: Have you stayed in either of those areas. We are a family of 4 from Denver and I found a place in Lenno that looks beautiful, but we do prefer to be out of the way of mob scenes. We're also considering spending more that one night in the Lake Como area so it may not be too much of a rush at the end. Thanks for your help.

Yes, I know the area well and have driven to Malpensa from both directions.
If you are already committed to Como
then so be it---it will just take another :30 to get to the airport.
Just plan accordingly. Buon Viaggio !

Bob
Not committed to Lenno. How does it compare to Lago Orta or Maggiore- It's hard to find people that know Lenno. If you know it, tell me about it, per favore e Grazie,
Anne
