Lake Garda from Verona-Plan B

Jump to last reply

My thanks to those who commented on my original thread.

The plan now would be to take the train from Verona to Pescheria (or would taking a bus be better?) and then take one of the ferries north to some scenic point on the lake, spend time there, and then perhaps take the bus back to Verona. Could also do the trip in reverse.

The question becomes is there some scenic town on the lake to which/from which we could travel. Malcesine comes to mind but I am wondering if this whole thing would be worth the effort?

We enjoyed our time when we stayed on the shores of Lake Como and some have said Lake Garda is even more scenic.

Thanks very much for any comments.
