"La Madeleine", Apartment Rentals, in Avignon: how about it?
I have found a studio to rent for a week at La Madeleine in Avignon in Feb/08 at a very reasonable price. Has anybody stayed there or has any knowledge about it? Thanks for your help!

OK, so nobody has heard of the Le Madeleine, but how about these houses advertised at the Avignon Location Vacances site?

Hi, Brazilnut. In several years of reading Fodor's I can't recollect anyone ever writing about renting a house or apartment in Avignon.
I've visited Avignon quite a few times, but never longer than 24 hours, so I've always stayed in a hotel.
I couldn't find anything on the Avignon Location Vacances site that showed where the two apartments were. From my walking around and driving through Avignon, I'd prefer to be in the old part of the city.
Planning on staying long? Will you have a car? If yes, then parking might be an issue to ask about.

Thanks for replying. I plan to stay for a week based in Avignon and visit the surrounding villages and Arles, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille,etc. I was planning to go solo, but two friends of mine became interested in joining me, so we will probably rent a car for a few days. I will check about the parking facilities. Thanks again!
