Jacques Billaud in Paris?? Please help me identify...

I've been collecting ash trays since the 1970's and a friend recently gave me one for my collection, which belonged to an ex-boyfriend who use to live in Brussels many, many years ago. I was hoping that someone out there with a passion for Paris might help me identify the business advertised.

Jacques Billaud
154 Boulevard Pereire
Paris (17)

I believe the establishment might be a seafood restaurant, although I'm not sure. There are cartoon characters depicting (on the left) a cat in a chef's hat biting the tail of a fish (in the center). The fish has bubbles coming out of it's mouth with the numbers 754 87 40 in one of the bubbles. Perhaps this is a phone number as there is a mouse (on the right) standing on top of a rotary telephone while talking into the receiver/handset. The ash tray is stamped "GDA Limoges France" on the back.

So has anybody ever heard of this place of business? Is it still there? Any history or info would be appreciated. Peace. >-

It doesn't really take a passion for Paris, only a working knowledge of French and the Yellow Pages for France.

154 boulevard Pereire in Paris 75017 now houses a restaurant called the Nouveau Shangai, so your guess that Jacques Billaud was a restaurant is probably correct.

Thanks, Eloise, for the information. I was hoping that maybe the original restaurant was still there...I would see it as yet another "sign" that the cosmos were telling me to return to Paris. Well, I guess there is at least a restaurant there, even if it is not Jacques himself.

Out of curiosity, Eloise, are the Yellow Pages in France listed by street addresses? How were you able to find the name of the restaurant currently at this location? Thanks for taking the time.

Does anyone else out there have any info about this now defunct restaurant?
