I had been in touch with travel talk in Dec, Jan and Feb for my first trip to Europe, thanks to all for helpful info I had a remarkably wonderful trip, thanks again! French people were very nice and terrific to me and my female travel mate, as well as the Germans; in Venice we encountered the gypies that make me a little nervous, but you all warned me so I was prepared! Air France was great! Our lovely small hotel in Montmarte was "the Best" Thanks again, Lois

Dede, I felt safer than in any US town/city.<BR>Gypsy or albanian pickpockets don't threaten me. They just make me feel more alert. <BR>
