How Long from Ancona port to train station
Once I am off the ferry in Ancona, how long a walk is it to the train station? I also can't seem to find the address of the train station. Would anyone know it. Thanks

The port is 1.5 miles from the train station so I suppose you could walk it. I have transferred twice from the train to the ferry in Ancona and have taken the public bus both times. It's cheap, quick and easy.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the bus # nor have I gone in reverse so I can't tell you where you would get on the bus to go to the train station. People at the ferry offices would be happy to help.
My recollection of the route to the port is that it was congested with cars and not particularly pedestrian friendly.
Good luck!

Went the other way and found that the taxi service was the best but there was 4 of us so economics a little better in numbers. Very easy town to navigate and if time is not the essence it is not hard to ask the questions re the bus.

It is a straight shot up the main road from port to train station, but the earlier poster was quite right that it isn't walker friendly. VERY busy road, and the name changes I think 3 times between the port and the train station. Train station is at Piazza Rosselli 1. I think the road at the Port end is called via 29 Settembre, then Via Marconi and then Via Flaminia. But the station is definitely in Piazza Fratelli Rosselli, and Via Flaminia runs into & out of the Piazza. There used to be a little train that went from the main station to the port, but I don't know if it still operates or what the schedule would be. A bus or taxi should be the ticket for you. A little over a mile.
