Holiday in Austria

Jump to last reply

My husband and I are planning a holiday in Austria in September 2016. We are in our mid 60s and would like to spend some time in the mountains ( perhaps a week) - riding lifts etc to the top where there is a restaurant and perhaps walking down at least part of the way. We would also like to do a little easy hiking (no strenuous climbing !!). Can you help with recommendations of where to base ourselves after spending a week in Salzburg? I have been looking at Hallstat or Bad Ischel as that is the area I thought we would visit before we move on to Innsbruck.
