Help with London to Paris
In order to meet up with relatives we must make a round trip from London to Paris. I've read on this forum that there are cheap tickets on chunnel crossings and on a previous trip found a special, but can't locate any great deals this time. Any suggestions? What's the cheapest way to go?

This is a perfect example of a situation in which air travel might be cheaper than train travel. where do the relatives live (not only in which city, but where in the are of that city) - - and will they be okay coming to get you at the airport (and which airport)?

For London-Paris, air travel is not a savings over train travel when time (and expense) commuting to the airport are factored in at BOTH ends. But check out any of the various low-cost options - - Go, but also BA, AirFrance, and the DiscoverEuropeAirPass on British Midland - - and you may find that they meet your needs better.

Best wishes,

Rex
We have the same situation and thought about the Eurostar, but we found several great airline deals from London to Paris roundtrip at much less money. Try Expedia.com for deals, as well as buzzaway.com. It's a one hour flight and I'm sure it beats a four hour train ride, although you might have to go to airports other than gatwick or heathrow. One word of caution, I think a Saturday night stay is required for the best prices.
