Help with Eiffel Tower on-line tickets
I couldn't purchase tickets until 8:30 am (Paris time) on 3/22. I actually tried at 8:26 and couldn't. Anyway, hit the confirm button at 8:30, and all of the tickets were sold out, is there something I am missing on trying to purchase the tickets. How could they already be all sold out? Thanks!

crennaker - your post is timed at 2.44pm on March 22nd, and according to what you have posted, you are trying to buy tickets for the same day.
is there something wrong in the date you've posted? 3/22 [or in europe, 22/3] is today.

Yes, I was trying to buy them for June 20th, now tomorrow @ 1:30 am MST (8:30 am Paris) I will try to buy them for June 21st. This is when the website tells me is the first time I can buy them??
Thanks

aha - you're trying to buy for June, not March. your 1st post didn't really make that clear, crennaker.
anyway, i just went to the website and there are tickets available for both June 21st and June 22nd [and a few for June 20th too] so you should be ok.
bon chance!

That is the same sight I've been using. When I go, all of the days for the 20th are gone, and it won't let me book until 8:30 am paris time for the 21st. I must be doing something wrong--I can't figure out what though??
Thanks

I just looked and it had tickets on the 20th at 3 times: 9 am, 10:30 and 12:30 if you buy only one, but if I tried to buy 4, it said there aren't enough places. How many are you trying to buy? That's probably the problem. this is the website

on june 21st, the system is still showing tickets available for the summit at all times.

i really don't know why it won't let you buy tickets yet for June 21st - the website lets me get as far as i can without actually making a purchase. I can't think why it would discriminate against you.

Tickets for the 21st won't go on sale until tomorrow 8:30 am Paris time. I will be setting my alarm for 2:15 am Monday so I can be ready for the 22nd to open. I plan on being logged in to my account with all selections made and ready to hit submit at 2:30.
Set your alarm tonight before going to bed so you can be up and ready on Paris time.

I believe there is a glitch. Just tried myself using site provided by Christina. put in for two for 31 mar. Site said not enough room. Site would give u dates and times closest to ur request, but all times were x'd out. I would use the curser and click on a new date-going all the way to Sept. Same response, not enough room. Than, I went back to home page and dates and times past 31 mar worked.

of course, another option is to book a table at one of the restaurants in the tower - the Jules Verne has tables available at lunch time and dinner on the 20th, and the 58 has tables for dinner.
the 9pm slot would allow you to watch the sunset, and see Paris at night from the tower.

annhig - We are looking for about 9 pm so then we can stay in the area to see the twinkle which I think starts at either 10 or 11 in June. I've seen the twinkle but it's on my sister's wish list.

Hello,
Speaking of tickets, are there only a particular number of tickets for each day to use the elevator? I'm under the impression that if you want to walk up, you can purchase tickets same day. Is that correct?
Thank you!

YOu don't have to be right around the Eiffel Tower to see it twinkle at night, it is pretty big. In fact, you may be able to see it better from farther away. I often hang out in the 15th and have a favorite restaurant there and can see it from their window. Also, I've easily seen it when dining around the Pantheon in the Latin Qtr because that area is a slight hill, actually. And I've seen it from across the river, also, when I was in a cafe around place de l'Alma (Chez Francis). But if you have something you want to do around there, it would work, of course. It's just not my favorite area to hang out.
