Has anyone heard from Ray Skinner of London Transfers recently?

Or used his car service in the past month?

I have used him before [and love the guy!], but I didn't get an answer to my query about my web reservation and I left a message on his phone yesterday with my name and email address. Since we leave next week I'll need to go to Plan B sometime tomorrow. So any info would be helpful.

Yes I'm using that address and the phone number on that page.

I just heard from a friend on another forum that she tried him a coupler of months ago and received no answer. Although I was able to leave a message on his phone.

Have made reservations with Just Airports. Do they really only allow 1 bag and ion carryon per car? And if so how bad are their extra bag charges?

I have been trying to reach him because I have several upcoming excursions booked w/credit card. I have tried phone and email without any results.... about 2 weeks worth of effort.

Very strange, I used him last week? I used him for a return trip to LHR. Had no problems, rang him on the Tuesday to confirm (as we'd been there 7 weeks)& he answered no problems. Do you have his mobile number?

Hi Aussiedreamer... Yes,I do have the mobile but thank you for offering it. Sfowler had the same issue but booked with someone else after several attempts. I am quite worried now.
Does anyone have recommendations for other drivers for excursions (not airport pickups)?

My daughter lives in london, would you like me to call him on your behalf, she may have better luck with a local number?

Now I'm getting concerned. Normally Ray gives a quicker response than justairports. I hope he's not ill.

aussiedreamer: If she can contact him it would be great -- even if just to give him a piece of out collective mind and tell him to get off the pot and contact these people

She rang him, didn't answer the first time but got him the second time. Said she was checking she had all his details correct and she did. So not sure why you can't get through.
From the UK 07970 577 768
From anywhere else +44 7970 577 768

Hope it helps.

Contacted Mr. Skinner via his website for the first week in April 2012; his email connection had been down for a bit and he was not aware of it. His new system is working, and he picked us up right on time both for arrival and departure from Heathrow. He was an excellent driver and even gave my granddaughter and me a commentary on the way into London. I highly recommend him.
