Girona: Celler de Can Roca NEED HELP!!

We will be traveling to Barcelona in September and would very much like to eat at Celler de Can Roca in Girona. The only thing is the trains don't run at night, so I do not know how to get back to Barcelona after dinner. Do you have a recommendation?

I have thought of:
Going for lunch - they are already booked
Staying over night - we are flying home the following morning
Renting a car and driving - I'm worried about getting lost in the dark

Thank you, Inor

I would check out of my hotel. Get BCN airport hotel for last night. Drive myself up to Girona, visit the town, have early dinner and not worry too much about getting lost. You can always find the BCN airport. Return car. Sleep in a bit.

To some this will sound crazy but to me it would relieve some of the concern of this type of trip the night before a flight, returning a car, etc.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if it will be easy to find our way from the restaurant (which is outside the city of Girona) back to the autoroute?

If you can follow a map I am sure you will figure it out. take good notes on way up there. From the map at google it looks very simple. There will be signs in town to the highway again.. I wouldn't fret about it too much. Just give yourself time and enjoy your meal.

The restaurant doesn't look "outside " the city to me. it looks outside the city CENTER but simple to find if you have the street names and follow instructions around the roundabouts.

The restaurant is just off the European Route E15/Autovía del Mediterráneo (AP7), the main Toll Road between Barcelona and Girona.

Thank you for you help. I looked at the map on Google. Even though the restaurant looks close to the autoroute, there is no entrance near by, so the directions are quite complicated. Has anyone actually driven to or from this restaurant? Inor

The directions are not that bad. zoom the map out and write down the names of the streets.. there are just a series of roundabouts.. it seemed quite well explained to me. These European towns do not have a lot of grid streets so don't let that unnerve you.

If you are uncomfortable.. once you get into the city.. park your car.. then take a taxi up to the restaurant and have them call you one when you leave. Be sure you have parked legally, write down the name of the street and number,or .. follow a taxi to the restaurant and pay him.

I think if you go there earlier in the day and make an excursion out of it you will see that it is not as complicated as you are making it out to be.

Are you able to get that google map page in english?

I see that link is in English I know it sounds complicated but when you zoom the map out it is really a serious of turns to get you across the river the fastest way.
