Hi PRESTO,

Please do not all-caps at us; it's considered rude. It is also harder to read --

Anyway, here are my favorite things to do while based in Montreux, at the other end of the lake. But you can easily get to any of them from Geneva --

Thanks for the info Swanday2000. Very Helpful. Sorry about the caps-first time on the sight-not aware of the protocol.

In June we had an awesome 2 days in Chamonix. Visit the Aiguille du Midi (top of Mont Blanc) for incredible view and serious hiking or just gazing.

Take the train out to Vevey and Montreux. It's only about 1 hour, very easy from Geneva. These are two beautiful towns right on Lac Leman.

Go to Vevey on a Saturday early morning if possible, and you can attend the local farmers market. It's lovely. There's also a market in Vevey on Tuesday, and in Montreux on Friday mornings.

Chateau de Chillon outside Montreux is a "must do" I think. As is strolling along the quai, the lakeside promonade in both towns along the lake.

Different direction you can get a bus or train to Annecy, a lakeside town in France that is quite nearby Geneva. That would be great for another day or overnight trip.
