Salmon as often as possible. Smoked with salad on brown bread. Poached for dinner. Also Dubline Bay prawns.

Just watch out for the tea. They leave the tea leaves in the pot - and don't always provide a strainer.

Lol! I should have stated that in general I found the food to be wholesome but not necessarily the black and white puddings. Those are tasty though!

Irish potatoes - so many different varieties and they have actual flavor !!
Great fish
Lots of vegetables that we don't normally have here
And be sure to try to irish cabbage and potato dishes - go to a local pub

ice cream.

seriously, everywhere we went, we had the best ice cream. especially caramel or bailey's flavored. I think its higher butterfat than most US ice cream.

I agree the breakfasts!!! Irish soda bread, cheese and yes their ice cream is to die for. If you ask for cream for your coffee you get a bowl of whipped cream! Love that place!!!!!

Potatoes, lots and lots of potatoes. It sounds horribly stereotypical but true in my experience. They came with every meal I ordered whether requested or not. In one restaurant I was asked if I'd like potatoes with my order (a baked cheese dish that didn't have them), said no, and was served fries! It cracked me up! But as someone stated earlier they are very yummy...
