hello! I'm writing to ask for all the help i can get. Several of my girlfriends and I are planning a rather spontaneous trip to budapest (maybe) for a week in mid january. we are in desperate need of advice as to where to go, where to stay, what to do, and perhaps we are also are in need of being persuaded to go elsewhere (prague, vienna??) <BR>any advice would be greatly appreciated.<BR>thanks.<BR>dara

BTW forgot to mention that I'll be in Prague/Budapest from the 8-13th of Jan. THere is a great Hostel in Prague about 1.5 blocks from St charles bridge..dirt cheap, excellent location.<BR>I don't remember what it's called but I really enjoyed being smack dab in the middle of the action.

Was in Budapest and Prague a few summers ago. Your choice should be Prague. Very beautiful and progressive city filled with young people. Budapest was fine, but not my first choice. If you want names of hotels, things to do connect me.

If you're interested in staying out to the wee hours of the morning - Barcelona would be better. Just visited Budapest this past December (3rd time) - it was very quiet and sedate. If you're intent on Central Europe - go to Prague, visit Budapest in the spring or summer.

What exactly is a "teen spinster"? Aren't teens too young to be spinsters? I thought you had to be at least 21 to be a spinster! (not!)
