Ephesus Tour Guides

There are so many--can anyone here recommend one in particular? It'll be for a private tour and we are not associated with any cruise ships. Also not interested in all the "rug factory" stops.

Cannot you just pick the one you like? They are there waiting at the gate. And they stay in Ephesus, and donīt run around in rug shops.

I just get so annoyed when they take you to these factory shop places to buy rugs or whatever. I am looking for a guide in Ephesus as well for November.
Please let me know how you get on!

We just took one from the gate. And he certainly knew what he was talking about. He was a history major. And as much as I could tell about other guides who we saw with other people, the were profesionals, too.

There are no rug factories near Ephesus, so they donīt take you anywhere. After you leave, they start waiting for the next customer.

I donīt remember because every time I can, I make my husband take care of those matters. But he is a stingy man, so it cannot have been anything unrealistic. I am sure that guide hired from the gate asks less than a guide from a travel agency booked beforehand.
