Drive down via Chartres to see the cathedral and stop in the Loire valley. Visit Chenonceau the next day and then do a long drive to Sarlat. Stay in the Dordogne for three or four days and then make an overnight stop on your way to Barcelona.

July 1 Loire valley
July 2 - 5 Sarlat
July 6 Carcassonne
July 7 Barcelona

According to Google map, it takes 2.5 hours to go from Sarlat to Carcassonne, and the same time from Carcassone to Barcelona. So if you really like the Dordogne, you can simply go to Barcelona in a single day.

You might find www.viamichelin.com useful for itineraries and cost of travel.
