DON'T TYPE IN CAPITALS!! IT'S RUDE AND BLINDING
Dear Fodors people, especially first times and those who are trying to talk loudly, using CAPITALs to make a point. It is RUDE!! Other suggestions...don't ask same dumb questions, just use search function to see what is already out there, and don't start arguments.

If anybody here knows about RUDE, it would be sandi, check her postings using the wonderful search function. And the questions may seem dumb to you , but there are people coming onto this board every day that have not been here before, how could they possibly know what has or has not been asked. If you don't want to answer with valid information then don't!

CAPITALS are rude? What nonsense. Now we have to worry about the font police? <BR>Stupid questions? Not to those who would like an answer. Who wants to go back 15000 posts to find an answer? The board's in trouble when we don't help people new to it.

Well, I wouldn't say "rude", but I will say that all caps makes a message much more difficult to read. I work with military messages which come in all in caps, and it takes me twice as long to read a message like that than one with normal capitalization. Also, WRT asking questions previously asked, after my first few weeks of visiting this forum, I started to think that way, that the same questions get asked over and over again, and these people should do a search before asking their question. But I have had so little success with the search function the last few days that I am changing my opinion. It's not that the search doesn't return results, but it doesn't return all the messages that contain the text I am looking for. I've been trying to find several messages that I've previously read that I know contain certain keywords, but they're not coming back with the other results.
