does this train run easter sunday- i cannot tell from schedule
here is a copy of the train schedule of a train i need to take from amsterdam to brugge.
can you tell if it means it does NOT run on april 24 and 25th? i need to take it on the 24th
see the last sentence that says " runs not every day 24,25 april"

other trains are worded differently, ie, runs daily, not april 24th
does this mean that i will have to take a thalys train as the IC train is not running? help! we leave on tuesday. if i need thalys, it is expensive- can i buy it on arrival in amsterdam, and if so, where
thanks!!

i checked several sites.
on www.nshispeed.nl the option of the IC trains does not seem to be available that day (it is available the sunday before and after) so i guess that it intercity train does not run on easter sunday. i may be stuck paying a fortune for the thalys train. can i wait til i get to amsterdam to find out, or do i need to buy the thalys train while still in canada? if i buy there, where do i buy thalys tickets in amsterdam?
oh my...

According to the site of NS Hispeed, there are 2 options:
- 10.56 Amsterdam Centraal-Breda by Fyra (new Dutch high speed line for domestic use, you normally have to pay a surcharge), then by regular IC to Antwerp, and in Antwerp change to regular IC to Brugge. Total travel time 3.29
- 11.16 Amsterdam-Antwerp by Thalys (reservation needed), then by regular IC from Antwerp to Brugge. Total travel time 2.42.
Usually it is cheaper to buy in advance. But it is possible to buy your international tickets at Amsterdam Central Station. There is a specific NSHispeed desk. This desk is open from 5.45-21.00 daily (5.45 AM-9.00PM).
No worry! Everything will be allright!

Some extra information on why the regular IC between Amsterdam and Brussels doesn't run on April 24 and 25:
There are planned works on that line on thoese dates!
Therefore you have to take either the Thalys, or the Fyra.
See my post before.
