Does my eurail pass work for intercity trains in netherlands?

I have a rail pass and was think of taking a train out to visit Huis Doorn. When looking it said to take the train to Driebergen-Zeist and then a bus to the property.
Will my eurail pass cover the cost of the trip to the train station fdrom Central?

Also does a train and bus pass that I brought at Central to ride the trams around the city- Will the pass/chipcard work on the bus to Huis Doorn?
thanks

Your Eurail pass will cover you for the train, but the OV chipcard depends on what type it is whether it will work on the bus. If it is a proper anonymous OV chipcard it will be fine. If it is a limited time one, bought from the GVB, then it won't be. You can still buy a ticket from the bus driver though it will cost a bit more.

An alternative route, which may be easier for you is to get the train to Amersfoort, then the 82 bus to Doorn. It is a bit of a walk at the end though - about 20 minutes, or the bus 56 to Gooierdijk, Langbroek, which is about a 10 minute walk away.

Thanks for the info.
I am guess that my chipcard is not going to work. i usually buy them at the outside the central station.

another question- when you get your ticket for the train from the airport to central- can you go ahead and buy a chipcard for the trams around central station??

If you visit the Netherlands fairly often then it would be worth your while buying an anonymous OV chipcard. You can load it up at the ticket counter at Schiphol (it needs at least €20 on it to use on the trains). It is valid for 5 years.

You can only buy the throwaway, timed travel cards (valid for 24 hours or whatever) in Amsterdam itself. Schiphol does not fall under Amsterdam for public transport.

If you have a Eurail pass you don't need to buy a train ticket at Schiphol.
