Moreton-in-Marsh is about the size of a small US suburb - maybe 3000 people. Not much call for tour companies based in a place like that.
Economically - guided tours need to start from population centres where there are customers.

Yes - the TIC ladies are helpful/nice - but they don't lead tours

They ARE really helpful -- but -- they don't lead tours, and they can't make their small town large enough to support a tour company. But there are taxi drivers that will do custom tours.
M-i-M is a pretty small place (but large-ish for a Cotswold village). Where would all those folks come from to fill a coach? Maybe some posters think because it has a train station it must be a major hub/large town.

" it seems to me that you were misunderstanding my response. I wrote back to clarify. All I wanted to say was that the women at the IT would know the answer to milliebest's question, and therefore I had suggested that she write and ask them.
But I understand from your answer that it is doubtful based on the fact that M-i-M is small and they don't have a whole bunch of hotels to draw enough people to offer such a service.
Again, <i>if</i> there were such a service available, the women would surely have the brochure or information to give. And if there were no such thing, they would write her back and tell her so. That is all I was trying to say

I'm pretty sure you're not going to get an answer you want from anyone - this board, information centres or anywhere else.
Google 'Moreton, Cotswold, tours' and you'll get a couple of taxi companies offering to drive you round for about what a taxi would cost (which is obvioiusly going to be a fair amount more than hiring a self-drive car for a day would cost). Google tours in Oxford, and you'll find a few: but you'll either spend a deal of time and a bit of money getting into Oxford and, or more cash getting them to come out and pick you up.
I've never seen a conventional tour company operating from a base round here: there's no market for one because we actively discourage overnight visitors in the area, and most people are perfefctly capable of driving, walking or cycling themselves anyway
What's the point, though? This isn't somewhere like London where there's a clutch of places cliche-ridden guide books pretend you've "got to see". Moreton's a reasonable public transport hub: just get onto a train or bus and look for yourself. Or better yet, walk out of town with a decent map on one of the footpaths abnd look at a few pretty vilages the way they're designed to be looked at.

Just wanted to HIGHLY recommend Mad Max tours as someone posted above. They specialise in small van tours which allow you to go to many more little towns as it's not a giant bus. They picked us up at our hotel in Bath and we spent the day driving around with them. Really great, would do it again in a heartbeat.

Once you are 'on the ground' in M-i-M you'll see what we are talking about - it is a teensy place and most nearby town/villages are even smaller.
