Citymundo
Has anyone had any experience with City Mundo...the apts look great are the prices are a lot cheaper than the 4/5 star hotels? Just a little leary of not going thru a travel agent...no recourse if we get there and something goes wrong? Any input would be appreciated..we will be there May 28 for 5 nights.

Thanks!

Denise

I have used Citymundo very recently. All the arrangements went well - paperwork, directions etc were all provided very quickly and efficiently. The only problem was when arriving at the apartment the owner had been told by Citymundo that we had cancelled the day before. Luckily it was still available so it wasn't a problem. The apartment itself was spotless, well located and was well equiped. I would definately use Citymundo again but would double check on the arrangements.
We used Citimundo in August 2001..there was alot of confusion as to whether we actually booked an apartment...bottom line..they get confused with the paperwork. The apartment was huge! The bathroom was tiny and since there is no shower stall the waters slops into the toilet area...drove me batty with the constant mopping. Kitchen was nice tho. Bedding on the floor in a HOT loft area with scary stairs. Great for young people, not so for aging boomers. Renter was nice and delighted that we were so responsible..she insisted on a deposit because their place had been trashed in the past...but NO problem getting it back.
Caveats..our apartment was very noisy as windows had to be open in August....it was a little out of the way..it would be fine for younger folks with good hearts because it was a steep three story climb... curved and narrow.Grocery shopping for meals fun but labor intensive. This is a reliable firm however.
