Car park overnight in St. Germain area

We will be driving in to Paris for the week-end and have no idea what to do with our car overnight,
. I know that we could stay in one of the 4* hotels we can pay for parking but what about a small 2 or 3* in St. Germain? Has anyone done this? Thanks for any suggestions.

Why not simply take the train to Paris? The cost to park your car will probably be more costly than the train tickets. Mike

There are underground parking garages along the Blvd St Germain..I know there is definitely one at the intersection with Rue de St Peres..but how much it costs, I have no idea.

I can't remember the price, but a French friend and I parked her car in a car park just so that we could do some shopping and I just remember gasping over the price and this was a good 10 years ago. I wouldn't be bothered with a car in Paris. Happy Travels!

I found a price of 2,50€ /hr or 21€/24 hr,,so that gives you a rough idea.

Another underground parking spot that I have come across to in Paris is at the Invalides area.

FYI, a couple of years ago, I was able to park a mini van for a couple of nights around rue St. Jacob/rue Univesite streets - I didn't know where to find paid parking. Before that, I was able to park overnight on a street in the 6th. I think, that there are time restrictions and overnight parking may only be appropriate if you plan on leaving very early (e.g. daytrips) and coming back late in the evening. But, in any case, I would suggest a paid parking establishment over street parking in paris.
