I have seen a couple of related threads. I am going to be in italy for 3-4 months and fancy keeping up the riding. Will be looking for a decent (carbon) bike not that fussed as to brand as long as i can get it fitted. Ay ideas ? Bari? Bridisi? Or do i need to get one shipped from (say) uk?
Thanks!!!

Biking seemed to be very popular, lots of trails etc. I dont think you will have trouble finding one in a sports store in Brindisi, Lecce, or Bari. Take your pick!
Serious biking is hugely popular in Italy, you certainly don't need to ship a bike. You will find specialist bike stores in all the major towns. Presumably you will be flying into either Bari or Brindisi, so these towns will make the most obvious choices.
Just googling, I've turned up this store in Bari: http://www.fuorisella.it/
For Brindisi area:

Try googling negozio di biciclette (bicycle store in Italian).
Wouldn't it be cheaper to bring your own bike?
Cld be cheaper to bring my own, but this is an excuse to upgrade...i still have that as my backstop
H macattack I'm Fabio from fuorisella.it shop. If you like to have info about our bikes or our store, please send us a message. http://www.fuorisella.it/contacts/index/
