Budget Accomodation in Paris

Hi,

Can somebody please suggest some good Budget Accommodation for Backpackers in Paris, Venice, Rome and Berlin?

The ratings of the accommodation could be on :

1) Budget
2) Location keeping in mind the touristy places (the closer the better)
3) Value for Money
4) Accessibility to Metro's , Hop on Hop Off buses, Restaurants etc...

Looking forward to some good suggestions...

Thanks....

We've stayed here: http://www.cosmos-hotel-paris.com/

Its a very basic hotel, but was clean and suited us just fine. Love neighbourhood. Its a bit farther out than most tourists venture, but still central and accessible.

Without more info -

What exact amount do you mean by budget?

How many of there are you?

What are you expecting? Will you stay in a shared dorm room in a hostel? In a pension with a shared bath?

What's your idea of budget? Hostelbookers and HostelWorld are two very good sites for finding hostels. Just make sure you look at the ratings and comments. We don't stay anywhere with less than an 80% and haven't had a bad one yet. You can search by location too for finding stuff near public transit.

They occasionally have very good deals on smaller hotels too, especially in the off seasons.

I don't know if there is any place you can stay in Paris for that price. That is only about 20 euro per person. Even the hostels usually cost more than that. I know the YOung and Happy Hostel costs more than that even in the dorm rooms (it is a good choice, I think, great location and decent enough). You can get a bed there for 22 euro in the rooms with 10 beds, however. I think a bed in a group hostel room will be 25 euro and up.

I don't know of any hotel that cheap as that would be a triple room for around 65 euro but I do know a few hotels with doubles about that rate, but not triples.

good luck There are probably some hotels in the cheapest arrondisements at that rate, I just don't know them, only the cheaper ones in the middle and they cost more than that, as do the hostels.

Well not sure of Venice and Berlin as never visited those two. However in Paris and Rome I preferred renting apartment than a hotel as its budget saving as well and also have great deal of privacy. We dealt with http://www.lodjee.com/ for both of cities and got well managed apartments in both Paris and Rome within maximum 90 Euros. In Paris I rented one near Eiffel tower. I would suggest rest you can see their apartmental details at the site as you can only yourself choose the one suiting your needs.
