Bon Voyage to Cigalechanta!
I just saw on another post that you'll be leaving for your beloved France tomorrow and I wanted to wish you the best. I'm sure you'll find solace in the land that you love so much and I look forward to hearing about all of the the creatures you meet along the way.

thanks Maureen and elle. I'll be two days at a goat farm, visit friends who have a new cat and dog and another who have an ageing lovely dog. tomorrow will be a rush day to wash sheets and things so I can return without having to clean much. I've gathered my dogs toys and much food and vitamins that my J. will take to a shelter tomorrow morning.

well WE drive through Burgunday and find a place when we are ready(do this every year) and head to St-Paul-De_vence to the Colombe D'Or again to celebrate my 72nd birthday. Then back to our village where we always stay, Eygalieres and from there we can drive to dinner or lunch with various friends within a two hour radius. after the week there we stay one night in St Remy at L'Hotel , Les Ateliers De L'image. A Japaneese/French Cuisine and the place devored to photography that was once a movie theater. This is J's Birthday present. Mine is in October, his in November but insyead of gigts, we get to stay one night at a place of our choice. Then one night in a favorite, Uzes and the next dasy cross the viaduct new bridge in Millau, find a place in the area that appeals to us and the next day head up to the Loire to visit friends and stay close by at a goat farm, and after that we go to a vuillage near Poitiers to stay four days with friends. and the last night at a B&B in Fourges where we have been staying for years that are now friends(an hour from CDG)

Bon Voyage, Mimsy! Hope this is the trip that brings you great peace! I know you will find many sympathetic ears in France over your beloved Misha as the French are such great dog lovers.
I think it's so cool the way you & J have your serendipitous experiences in Provence! I'm not sure I could be so brave. As always, dearest Mimi, you are a grand inspiration to us all.
I look forward to hearing about your trip upon your return! And hope you'll still want to travel with me in Paris (FOR 2 WHOLE WEEKS - YAY!) in February.
ciao bella!

Dear Mimi, I am so glad I saw this thread as I had no idea you were leaving for France. My very best wishes to both of you for a comfortable flight and a beautiful and serene time in your beautiful France.
Enjoy every moment Mimi, take good care of yourself, and know that so many here will be thinking of you.

Hey, Mimi!I just arrived back in boston last night.
My daughter and I spent a week in Eygalieres and I thought of you often,as we ambled and biked about the village. The towns folk couldn't have been nicer and we loved our dinners at Le Petit Bru and le Ferme on the outskirts of town.
Have a wonderful trip!
