Blog updates from Europe.
Our family of four has been making our way around Europe this month. We are currently in Prague. I've been updating our blog every couple of days with pictures and commentary. We've been in Reykjavik, Frankfurt area, Munich, Reisbach and now Prague, so far. Www.familyineurope.travellerspoint.com

I haven't noticed very many white tennis shoes in Prague or Munich. Seems like darker colored shoes are more the trend. Lots of men in plaid shorts at an amusement park today though!

I was so happy to see this. I read about your 2011 trip right after we'd returned from ours; we stayed in the town next to St. Cyprien during the same week you were there with your family.
Now, we're home again after another trip, and it is nice to take the edge off my home-from-Europe-blues by reading about your adventures. (We didn't overlap this time, though.)
I'd really like to commend you on the honesty with which you write about traveling with a family. I've read a lot of blogs that make it sound so easy: every day is a well-planned treasure, the weather is always just right, and the children are always eager, engaged, and thoroughly lovely. I so appreciated your warts-and-all candor.
My kid still had some rotten moments on our recent trip; sounds like smoother sailing for you this time!
I'm looking forward to reading along. Thanks so much for sharing it all.

Hi Pavot - how funny that we were in Dordogne in 2011 at the same time! Our trip is going more smoothly this time. It's probably due to older kids and more realistic expectations. We spent our last day in Warsaw at a water park and play center. I told my husband that these are the kinds of places we won't even think about in 10 years. We can visit loads of museums another decade. The kids are bickering more as the trip progresses. I feel like the family peace maker. Hubby gifted me with a couple of hours alone to explore this afternoon. Where did you travel on your last family adventure? I'm slow to blog on this trip because the girls keep borrowing the available electronics! Thanks for your nice comments.
