ASAP Airline Tickets

Has anyone ever used this website to buy airline tickets? (www.asaptickets.com)It's EXTREMELY cheap! They currently have a rate of $202 for Paris! Says they sale wholesale and also do business class.

If this $202 rate is real, what dates, what route, and does it include everything for a roundtrip fare?

Well, it lists the choices of airlines, gives you a confirmation number to call and get the ticket. I checked a flight to Paris from Austin Texas. Dates Oct. 7-16. It says the following...Northwest $561, American $610, KLM $621, Austrian Airlines $641. That's more than $202, but still really cheap compared the the other prices I have received. What do you think?

Note the * all prices are based on the availability. My guess - this will be zero.

Checked the better business bureau. They said that they are in good standing. The have had 27 complaints over the past 3 years, but all have been resolved. Still....anyone actually deal with them?

Ah...The old availability...I guess I should just go with my gut and go Air France or American. Any suggestions?

From what I've read in other places, those great fares you see on the web site do not include taxes, fuel charges, departure charges, etc. They tell you about all of that when you call. By the time you're done, you end up paying about what you would pay if you shop the airlines directly but now you're buying through a 3rd party instead of the airline directly which gives you less leverage if there is a problem.

It's worth giving them a call to see what they say. They do claim to be a member of IATA etc.

Generally, I don't trust any website that won't tell you whether the fare includes taxes/surcharges. That $202 fare doesn't even say where it is from, kind of meaningless. If the fares don't include taxes/surcharges, they aren't really that cheap, but a little cheaper than regular, from what I've seen.

So you look up a flight on the Internet, get a phone number to call instead of a print-out with the date, flight number, price?

Sorry but I wouldn't trust a phone conversation, doesn't matter what BBB says. If anybody made a mistake in the date/time, you're out in the cold!

Oh I would trust them, but I almost guarantee you like the others have said that the $202 doesn't include surcharges, taxes, etc. If something sounds too good to be true it probably is.
