amazing convenient B&B s with great food views hosts in luberon provence

we have decided to spend the last 4 of our 7-8 nights in Provence in the Luberon area (following niece and st remy) this june (yes we have left it late) with a car, and i am getting overwhelmed with all the impressive choices on accommodation sites- they all sound amazing, each in slightly different towns and im getting confused which towns would be more or less inconvenient for driving around (for example would the town cadenet be an inconvenient base for driving around? as i found an great place there- Les Jardins Ajoucadou)

Does anyone have excellent B&B recommendations in the Luberon area that were also convenient for driving around? - our budget is up to 180euros/night. We would like a delicious breakfast included, spacious comfy rooms, preferable beautiful gardens and views, amazing hosts. maybe even offers to cook a local dinner (i heard some places do that).

anyone stayed at Mas de la Regalade in Gourdes
Les Jardins Ajoucadou in Cadenet
B&B - Les Grenadiers de Saint Sat in saint saturnin-d'apt

It depends where you want to drive around really. I wouldn't consider Cadenet that convenient a location, nor St Saturnin les Apt (although that is a little closer to the Luberon). But if you found this amazing place that really fits your wish list, which is rather extensive, you might want to stay there. Depends how important those things are to you, it sounds like a lot. I really don't like B&Bs nor want to eat where I'm staying for dinner. so the places I stay don't fit your requirements.

But some people stay in Lourmarin which isn't too far north of Cadenet and they manage, even that wouldn't be that convenient for me. But again, it really depends what you intend to do during the daytime. Since you are already staying in St Remy, you won't have the need to visit places over that way, so could work fine. Cadenet is about an hour's drive from Gordes, for example. But it also would work if you want to visit south of the river, so to Aix, then it would be better to be down that way. It's only a few days, you just need to figure out what you want to see, you could visit Lourmarin, Aix, Abbaye de Silvacane, and Apt when staying there. I don't see it as a great location for visiting the Luberon or Vaucluse or Drome areas.

I seriously doubt you can get a reservation there anyway, at this date, though. If you can get a reservation at any of your places you found, the locations would work.

I haven't stayed here personally but I was researching places to stay within the last few months and came across this b&b. It looks very nice and seems to offer a lot of what you're looking for. The prices seem higher than your budget however. Unfortunately, they did not have availability over our dates so I didn't book it. It's located in Menerbes.

Sorry for the follow-up. I couldn't think of the name of this property yesterday. Here's another option that might fit your budget a bit better. Metafort is located in the village of Méthamis which is east of Avignon. It looks quite nice---in a contemporary sort of way. I had emailed them for pricing & availability but didn't hear back right away because they were away on holiday so again---I didn't book but would consider it in the future.

A few years ago we stayed at http://www.masperreal.com. We found it to be a great location to see all the sites. It is not far from Gordes and other beautiful towns in the Luberon. The hosts were fantastic and gave wonderful recommendations. Hope you have a great trip!

Hi, just wondering if you ended up getting any advice on this topic elsewhere and which place/location you ended up choosing? Funnily, we are in exactly the same boat (also for June 2017) and can't choose between Mas de regalade in Gordes and B&B - Les Grenadiers de Saint Sat in saint saturnin-d'apt. I have actually just made a tentative cancellable booking at both place cause I couldn't choose (so would like to cancel one place asap).

2 high recommendations for B&B's --

#1- for a lovely room with simple but great breakfast with beautiful gardens, views and pool [there is no indoor common space as their other rental units are 2 gites and a house all in same compound] =

#2 -
for a true B&B experience =

St. Sat is a GREAT location for visiting villages in The Luberon region easy to get to and a small village feel.

We have lived there for over an accumulated 6 months [several visits] and would go back in a heart beat.

You might enjoy reading Peter Mayles' memoirs "A Year in Provence" and "Toujours Provence". He stayed in Menerbes.
