HI Mike....thanks for posting these photos. I haven't seen many photos of Tallinn taken by tourists, rather than brochure shots. Your photos give me a good feel for what the old Town is like. I'm adding Tallinn and Estonia to my wish list.

I'm in the early stages of planning and had tentatively dismissed Helsinki and Tallinn. Now I think I will reconsider. Thanks for the great pics.

Ditto! Did you find Helsinki to be very expensive?

All my visits were business-related, and so I was able to minimize personal costs. It's not bad for a Scandinavian big city - I think Stockholm and Oslo are pricier - but no bargain. For a reasonably-priced casual meal in the central area, try the Cafe Esplanadi.

Mike - I enjoyed the photos and reading about your trip. How did you post your Kodak photos into the Fodor's forum? I know how to e-mail links, but do not know how to get them into this forum.

KL467, just email the link to yourself, and then copy and paste the URL from that email into your message in the Fodor's Post a Reply box.
