5-6 days in Brussels without a car
We are going to be in Brussels in early April and don't want to rent a car. I have heard that the city's public transit is very good for around town and that their train system is pretty good for day trips out of town. Any suggestions for day trip destinations? One of the reasons we are going to Belgium is the beer.

surf this site under Belgium to get a good idea, Bruges, Ghent are the usual best tours, but you might also do Luxembourg.

You should have no trouble in Brussels without a car. You can get around the city easily and take many day trips by came.
Personally I would stay in Belgium over Luxembourg especially with only 5 to 6 days.
My trip report from last fall describes some day trips other than Brugge and Gent (we had visited them on earlier trips)

There is a link at the end of my TR to another thread with suggestions about beers to try.
