2 B&B suggestions needed for Ireland

finalizing trip for next summer using a driver and want to get requests in early for places to stay

would like suggestions for Ballyshannon and Letterkenney ( like B& B or small hotels within easy walking distance of good pubs/music/food, like to keep it under $150 per room)

would also like comments on other selections if you have personal experience

so far
Westport- Olde Railway Hotel
Ballyshannon- ????
Letterkenney-????
Doolin- Seaview
Dingle- Captain's House
Kenmare-Hawthorne House
Bunratty- Bunratty Castle Hotel

thanks!

Hi Chip: I was recently in Bunratty and I'd like to give a plug for the B&B where I stayed. It is called Fox Wald, and the price I paid was 35 euros for the first night and 34 each additional night. Bill and Phyllis were excellent hosts, and I was quite happy with my stay. It is not in the center of Bunratty, but I enjoyed the walk. I couldn't tell you the distance, but it took me approximately ten minutes to walk to the shops. The fact that this B&B is located on a road with a fairly steep hill might be a negative for some. It is also a small B&B (three rooms), so if you are traveling with many people it may not work for you.

The Bunratty Castle Hotel looked very nice, but I have no personal experience with it. Kathleen's and the Creamery were great places for dinner. I didn't visit Durty Nellie's, though.

Good luck with your planning, and I hope you enjoy your trip.
