Wind Song Review
We just finished a trip with Wind Song through the Aegean Islands. On the positive side, it's a pretty ship and it's great to see those big sails go out and no (little, anyway) engine noise. On the negative side, though, we didn't like the smallish and badly arranged cabins. Food (for a ship of this obvious quality) was mediocre and dining room service not always great. Coffee on deck was the worst we've ever had. They seem to nickel and dime you to death. Bar prices (not published that we could see) and wine prices in the dining room were very high as were laundry costs (no laundromat but $1.60 to launder a pair of socks???)They could make it a great ship by copying a bit of Silversea or Seabourn). Our itinerary was very good - they can get into places that larger ships could not.
Hi Dick,

I was on the Wind Song back in 1990.
I thought it was wonderful. I guess it has gone downhill.

I am very surprised. Windstar is an upscale cruise line and is expensive.

I could believe if you were reviewing Windjammer.

Paul

Actually, and NOT defending anything, the laundry prices ($1.60) for a pair of soxs is abut what you would pay if you had your laundry done in a hotel. Next time you stay in a hotel look at the price tag on the laundry bag that is always hanging in the clothes hanging area
