Please Help! What's The Age Range on Norwegian Dawn?

Hi Fodorites...

I have a cruise on hold for June on the Norwegian Dawn Princess to Bahamas/Florida.

My girlfriend and I both are 26 and would like to know from those who've had experience with this ship what the age range is like. We'd like to meet other young people and are curious if there are lots of families, children, and older people as opposed to singles and those in their 20's/30s.

Thanks very much in advance for your help.

This is a brand new ship which is located year round in NYC doing those ports and I don't know if you can gauge as of yet the age category.. If it's after school lets out in June you may find more families on the ship..but that shouldn't stop you.. We prefer to go (we are older) before school lets out and after school starts again in September.

Sailed the Dawn in Feb. The cruise had all age groups. We're 32&40 and we had a great time. Lots of young adults. Don't miss the comedian & the shows were surprisingly enjoyable. This was the Eastern Carib route. Go to www.cruisecritic.com's NCL message boards and you'll be able to meet many other fellow travelers. The food was so so but otherwise we has a blast = )

P.S. I would avoid the summer months - our Feb.2 departure was mostly child free - there were many fun people around the bar & pool area. Most were couples but there were a few singles here & there. Have fun!

Tonia,

I was just about to get into my Chevy Impala Mercedes and go to the store to pick up a 6 pack of Miller Genuine Budweiser when I saw your post about the Norwegian Dawn Princess.
Now I am completely confused. Can't find my car, they don't carry that brand of beer, and which ship did you say you are going on? Is it the Norwegian Dawn or the Dawn Princess?

I am also confused. I thought the Dawn Princess was part of the Princess cruise line. Not Norwegian cruise lines.

There is the new NCL Dawn that just repositioned from Miami to NYC yesterday. A friend who just returned yesterday were a wide range. He did complain that the inside cabins were very small.

ParrotMom: Any other reviews of the Dawn? Will be taking the ship this summer and was wondering if your friend had anything else to say regarding food, entertainment, etc. We will be in a mini-suite so hopefully it will be more spacious.

The neighbors were on the two week repositioning cruise.. the wife said the entertainment was wonderful. She thoroughly ejoyed the Jean Ryan Troupe and said the comedians were great and entertainers came and went at the different ports. The Dawn she said has stations for the upstairs buffet and she found it a little confusing trying to find the areas she wanted (on our last cruise we enjoyed the concept of stations). For whatever reason she said that she prefers spicier food and found it not to her liking..but knowing her... I'd take that with a grain of salt...lol
