Juneau excursions Alaska Cruise

Hello! My friend and I and planning to cruise NCL to Alaska Aug 14-21 round trip from Seattle.
In Juneau I plan to do the dog sledding on a glacier excursion which says is two hours long. However my friend is very interested in doing a glacier trek which does sound awesome but I've only seen ones that are 7.5-8 hours long and we will only be in port from 2pm to 10pm so we wouldn't have time for both with those time frames. What I am wondering is if there are shorter glacier trek that I am not seeing that would allow us to do both excursions?
Thanks so much in advance

Where are you looking? If the excursion is offered by NCL then no worries. They have to wait if you are late.

It was not thru NCL it was a website called beyondak.com but as I said they only mention a very long trek from what I can see and I am looking to accommodate both excursions which would put us 2 hours over the port time.
We have been looking at booking the dog sledding on our own because it is incredibly pricey on its own but if we book w NCL it's a good $200 more per person. So we had planned on doing that first thing so we don't need to worry about it getting us back late and hopefully having time for a short trek, if that is even available

If you are late from a non ships tour they sail without you so not an option at all.

Good luck trying to find something to fit your needs but it seems you have to pick one or the other.

Have you tried calling them to see what they can do or if they can recommend someone else?

Perhaps a compromise would be to take the city bus to Mendenhall Glacier. You could stay as long as you want and it runs very frequently so you could be sure to get back to the ship when you need to.

You won't have time to do both. Do the Glacier trek, it will be more memorable.

Perhaps the price can help as a determining factor. Not sure how much the glacier treking is, but I did the glacier dog sledding via helicopter excursion and it was super expensive. It was very fun, but not sure if it was really worth the cost. It was memorable though! I don't think you can go wrong either way I know a few people who did the glacier trek and loved it too.
