Celebrity Century cruisers?
We are interested in 7 nite June/July 02 E.Carib cruises. Has anyone been on the Celebrity Century? Your experience & how much did you pay? That is our #1 choice right now but we are open to other lines if we can get a good deal. Thanks!
We sailed on the Century two years ago to the Western Caribbean and are considering taking it again to the Eastern Caribbean. It was a beautiful ship, our cabin was great, the food was wonderful, we got to port on time (my last cruise on Norweign they skipped one port).

We paid $3000 for 2 for an outside cabin, airfare, hotel before, transfers, etc.

Hi Angelina,

My husband and I went on our first cruise to the Western Caribbean last October on the Century. We're leaving in a couple of weeks (again on the Century) to the Eastern Caribbean this time. Absolutely fabulous! We had an inside stateroom the last time and booked an outside for this trip. We joined the Captain's Club after the first trip enabling us upgrades, discounts, embarking/disembarking priorities, etc. Book it!

We sailed the Century Western Carib in Feb '01, and had a great time. I posted a lengthy trip report about it a couple of places... You can find it at sealetter.com or cruisecritic.com. Sealetter just published it a few weeks ago, and I think there's still a link for it on their home page; for cruisecritic, search Feb-March postings.

We seriously considered taking her Eastern itinerary this fall, mostly because we loved the ship... and the Rasul Mud Treatment for couples, but decided on another ship.

We had a cat 5 outside cabin (panorama deck) and paid about $900 each, including all taxes and port fees.

We just purchased Century for 1/26/02 from moments notice travel (linked from travelzoo.com) for $369.00 + $161.00 port charges for an outside ($269.00 inside). We live in Florida so we need no air. We have heard only great things about this ship from friends who have traveled recently!!

This will be my third sailing with Celebrity Cruise Lines and my third with Century (going to Western Caribbean in January). Loved the ship - it is fabulous! Americans sure get the best deals. We have paid over $2,000 pp. including air, taxes, With our current Cdn. dollar rate to US we won't be making any purchases unfortunately from the wonderful shops on board!

I cruised onboard the Century last June, Eastern, Caribbean. I had a great cruise, as did my husband and daughter. The ship spotless. The food was delicious. The service was second to none. I'm thinking about doing the Western itinerary on this same ship.

As far as rates go, BOOK NOW. Cruises are lower than they've been in some time due to 9/11. Book now before the rates go up. All you will need is a minimal deposit, and the balance won't be due until two months prior to sailing. I can't believe how low rates have been. Have fun!
